One thing that you will always find onveniently placed on a teacher's desk is a pencil holder. Why is that? Well, every child in the classroom is supposed to have at least two pencils. And the way things work, at least one child will forget his or her pencils avery day so you will always need an extra one or two for them. Then you have extra pencils for the teacher herself plus red and blue marking pencils and perhaps a couple of other colored pencils to mark or draw with as well as other wirting supplies that may come in handy. Pretty soon you have a real need for a pencil holder.
