Spring classroom decorations

Spring classroom decorationsA teacher’s bulletin board and classroom should always be changing. A teacher’s bulletin board and classroom should change with the seasons, with the holidays, and with the teacher’s general mood. Here are some great ideas for spring classroom decorations. These spring classroom decorations are the perfect way to brighten up your classroom and lighten everyone’s mood.

Remember, there are many different holidays in the spring for which you may have spring classroom decorations – Cinco de Mayo, Earth Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, St. Patrick’s Day and Arbor Day. You can choose to use spring classroom decorations for all of these holidays, or just pick a few of your favorites. After all, some holidays, like Mother’s Day and Cinco de Mayo are often only a week or so apart.

Spring classroom decorations on the bulletin board

A teacher should always have her bulletin board decorated! It is possible to find great bulletin board decorations for spring and spring holidays online or at teacher supply stores. This decorations are easy to simply staple or pin up. If you want to put forth a little extra effort, though, you can have your students create their own spring classroom decorations to decorate the bulletin board – hang up their spring craft projects for display.

Spring classroom decorations on the ceiling

Spring classroom decorations do not only have to stay on the walls – you can hang them all over the place – including from the ceiling! For St. Patrick’s Day (and for Spring, in general), you and your students can make rainbow streamers to hang from the ceiling. Just find crepe paper in the colors of the rainbow, cut a big hole in the middle of a paper plate, and loop the streamers through the whole and attach them to the plate. Now you just need to get a chair so you can hang your rainbow streamers from the ceiling with string.

Or to celebrate Earth Day and all of the creatures of the earth, you can make hanging, coiled snakes. Take a paper plate and poke a hole in the middle and draw a snake’s head. Then draw a spiral out from the snake’s head, as even as possible, until you reach the edge – where the snake’s tail is. Use markers or crayons to color both sides of the plate. Glue googly eyes to the head. Cut along the spiral, starting at the edge. Cut out a forked tongue and glue it on. Tie a piece of string through the hole in the snakes head. Hang your snake from the ceiling and watch him wiggle.

Spring classroom decorations on the walls

You might as well decorate all of your walls with spring classroom decorations, as well. Let your spring classroom decorations seep from the bulletin board to the walls. Here is an idea – have your students draw and cut out Easter eggs from paper, and you can make a few of your own. Hide them all throughout your classroom – tape some to the ceiling and the floor and to children’s’ desks, etc. You can even draw some on the chalkboard. These Easter eggs can decorate your room, and they can also turn into a game – see how many Easter eggs your students can find. They can participate in the Easter egg hunt from their desks.

When it comes to spring classroom decorations, creativity is key. You are sure to come up with fun ideas as to how and what you can decorate. Do not forget to decorate your door!
