It
can be difficult to come up with an excellent lesson plan to share
with your students. Luckily, there are some excellent lesson resources
out there. Here are four types of lesson resources that you should
consider looking into:
Lesson
reource #1 – YOUR PEERS
If you are having trouble coming with a great lesson plan, ask your peers for help. Your peers can be a great lesson resource. You can ask other, veteran teachers which lesson plans worked for them in the past… and which ones did not. Your peers may be able to offer you very valuable suggestions, criticisms, and ideas.
Lesson resource #2 – THE INTERNET
The Internet is an excellent lesson resource. There are tons and tons of different lesson plans on the Internet. You can search for lesson plans on very specific subjects or broad subjects, for any grade. You can look at multiple lesson plans on the internet and then compile a lesson plan of your own, or follow an internet lesson plan directly. You can even add to the internet a lesson plan that worked very well for you.
Lesson resource #3 – BOOKS
It is possible to find books with great lesson plans in them. The great think about having a book as your lesson resource, is that it is right at your fingertips. Also, a book can organize a bunch of lesson plans into an overall curriculum to ensure that your lessons are leading somewhere and that they all connect. You can easily supplement lesson plans that you find in books with ones that you find on the internet or from your peers.
Lesson resource #4 – TEACHERS ASSOCIATIONS
A teachers association is also and excellent lesson resource. A teachers association, especially one that is specific to your subject, is something that all teachers should join. A teachers association can get you in contact with many other teachers all over your city, state, nation, or world. You can pick up many great ideas for lessons from a teachers association – it is kind of like going to your peers for help.
