The
improvement upon the organization of educational facilities all
over the country has become a great concern. To achieve successful
education organization there are four primary objectives that must
be considered by teachers, board members and principals together.
· Goal Agreement
What are your goals for your students? For many schools striving
for better education organization, the answer to this question is
simply to improve overall test scores reflected in the SAT tests
conducted at the end of each school year. Other goals might include,
developing motivation in the students, lowering the drop-out rate,
raising the attendance rate, and developing new approaches to teaching
i.e., instructors using different teaching methods in the classroom.
· Current Teaching Methods
In the case of the improvement in education organization that many
schools desire to accomplish, the schools must first examine their
teaching methods. This stem in education re-organization will require
teachers to come together to compare their teaching methods and
discuss how they can be improved upon. Oftentimes in education organization
it is found that the instructors must take charge, be innovative
and yes, even stray from the curriculum. It is not the fault of
the curriculum, that students are not working and learning to their
full potential—it is not like the information that the students
need to learn is not all there. However, there may be the lack of
education organization in the current curriculum which would require
the instructors to make improvements in the classroom. Education
organization will often involve the development of more hands-on
activities for the children. This type of education organization
will give them a break from the constant sitting and reading/listening
in class. Better teaching methods in education organization may
also include altering homework assignments to make them more fun.
· Current Disciplinary Methods
Discipline is an incentive for good behavior. For example: if attendance
is poor, perhaps the disciplinary action taken towards students
with poor attendance should be altered. Attendance is imperative
for every student—they can not learn if the are not there.
Another example: Drop-out rate. This is a major concern not just
for your school—but for America’s future. One way to
overcome the drop- out rate is to have assembly motivational career
speakers. A “career day”, where many different adults
representing many different careers will come to talk with the students
about what types of careers might interest them—or, for education
organization in this area you may also want to have a “college
day”, similar to career day. But the best method for motivating
students to stay in school is to have guidance counselors to encourage
them. Each child should meet with a guidance counselor at least
four times per year.
· Teachers adapting to new teaching skills
Once a game plan for your schools education re-organization has
been set in place, you may require some re-education for your teachers.
Many teachers become very accustom to following the curriculum literally
“by the book” and have not adapted to education organization
of any other kind. Such teachers may require additional training.
Considering the national claims that poor education organization
may be partially due to the negligence of schools in their responsibility
to hire and place well-qualified teachers in their classrooms. The
school board may have to decide upon a “sink or swim: method
to re-evaluate their teaching staff. If teachers are not up to par,
there can be options, as I mentioned before of implementing new
workshops, and further educational training, if the school budget
allows for such things. Many teachers, however, will be skilled
enough to adapt to new education organization well. If the right
teaching methods are used, then the children will certainly improve.
They will develop more interest in classroom activities, be more
motivated to improve their attendance, less likely to drop-out,
and improve their overall test scores.
With the more modern formation of new education organization, schools
can make better strides towards success. It is up to you. If your
school needs help, what will you do about it?
