Mancala is the oldest known board game that is still played in its original form. Its age strongly suggests that it is the forerunner of the abacus. At least one historian believes that it is responsible for the way our zero is written, suggesting an empty pit; we know the game predates the zero. Our version is especially designed for ease of learning by beginners. The pockets are sized and shaped for young hands. The board is uniquely designed to separate for expanded math applications.
